Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Awards Grant to ETAC
The PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has awarded the Electro-Technology Application Center (ETAC) a grant for $750,000 to be spread over three fiscal years beginning July 1, 2008. The award is a continuation of the ETAC grants that DEP has funded during the past 10 years. ETAC uses the money to help Pennsylvania businesses (mostly small ones) achieve compliance with state regulations by reducing volatile organic compounds and other emissions. ETAC has developed a close working relationship with DEP resulting in ETAC receiving the Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence in 2002. ETAC has also helped several Pennsylvania companies receive this award. For more information, contact Mike Vasilik, Ph.D., Director, Electro-Technology Applications Center, at Vasilik@etctr.com.

The Leadership Development Institute (LDI) is not 15 years old, nor is it a special event or a milestone of any particular note. It is, however, a time where LDI is reorganizing and refocusing and it seems worth taking a moment to think about how we got here and what it was we have learned along the way.
