AutoCAD 2008 Training
Introducing the latest version of computer aided-design software for drafting and engineering.

Convergence Boot Camp
Comprehensive course in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) training providing the core knowledge and skills required to sell, install and maintain products from leading manufacturers and suppliers. Vendor neutral curriculum includes data networking, telephony networking and convergence technologies taught in a hands-on format. Also ideal as a tutorial for Convergence Technology Professional (CTP) examination. Fee of $1,675 includes all materials. Course meets Monday-Friday, Jan 7-11, 2008,
9 AM-5:30 PM.

10-Hr. General Industry OSHA Safety Training
Designed to review OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as general industry safety and health principles. Geared toward safety and health managers, industrial hygienists, safety supervisors/ coordinators, and human resource managers. Emphasis will be on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a course completion card. Fee of $150 includes all materials. This class meets Thursdays, Sep 13 - Oct 4, 6-9 PM.

DEP Approved Water Treatment and Wastewater Operator Program
For the spring 2007 semester, CBI is offering a comprehensive water and wastewater operator course on the Main Campus and in Monroe County beginning January 22. NCC is also hosting the operator certification examination for the DEP on
May 16 and June 15.

Wastewater Operations I
Introductory course prepares operators and maintenance personnel working in the field for the state certification exam. Covers physical, chemical, and biological treatment along with operation of types of treatment units. DEP approved course . Textbook required from College Bookstore. Fee includes all other materials. Class meets Mondays,
Oct 15 - Jan 14, 6-9 PM. Fee is $360.

Water Treatment II
This Course is the f inal preparation of operators of water treatment plants for the state certification exam. Includes regulations, fluoridation, softening, demineralization, process wastes, maintenance safety, lab. Math review included. DEP approved course. Textbook required from College Bookstore. Fee includes all other materials. Class meets Wednesdays, Aug 22 – Nov 7, 6-9 PM. Fee is $360.

Water & Wastewater Exam
DEP c ertification exam for water and wastewater operators. Register by October 3, 2007. Exams will be held Tuesday, Nov 20, 8 AM-12 PM.

Six Sigma Green Belt
Provides participants with the tools needed to assist in Six Sigma project implementation. This body of knowledge serves as subset of the comprehensive Black Belt curriculum enabling participants to help their company continuously improve overall quality and productivity. Taking a systems thinking approach, the course covers the key methodology used throughout the project definition, measurement, analysis, improvement and control stages. Fee of $995 includes all materials. This course meets Thursdays, Sep 13 - Dec 13, 6:15 PM – 9:30 PM.

NEC Masters & Journeyman Certification
Essential preparation for electricians to become licensed. Fee for Journeyman is $310 and fee for Masters is $425.

Equipment EPA Refrigerant Containment Review & Certification and Test/Retest

Distance Learning Courses in Industrial Process Heating

This distance learning program is the result of collaboration between IHEA and ETAC/NCC to translate the IHEA home study course to a distance learning format, making it more readily available to members and non-members alike in an increasingly popular educational delivery method.

Advanced Industrial Process Heating
Designed to complement the fundamentals course. This course will provide the student with an in depth view of the control and efficient operation of industrial process heating equipment. Focus will be on a variety of oven, furnace and kiln types used in industry. The students will gain a general knowledge of instrumentation and control for efficient operation of furnaces and ovens in process heating. They will learn about the wide variety of refractoriness and insulation used in process heating equipment, as well as their operating considerations. The use of vacuum heat processing, recuperators, regenerators, gas atmospheres and quenching will also be presented. Particular attention will be spent on efficient operation of process heating equipment and methods to achieve cost savings.

Fundamentals of Industrial Process Heating
Designed to provide an overview of combustion fuels, burners and control basics, and heat transfer in both combustion and electric furnaces. This course will help the student gain a basic understanding of heat transfer principles, fuels and combustion equipment, electric heating, and instrumentation and control for efficient operation of furnaces and ovens in process heating.
