“The Leadership Development Institute at NCC informally tries to "partner" with organizations, helping them if they do not have a corporate university inside by accomplishing the same thing as a corporate university. We want to be the first one they call when they have a project that requires external support. We also want to work with them to figure out what they need and alternative ways to get it.

WEDnet PA Guaranteed Free Training (GFT) Program Continues

For many, the summer months are a time for re-charging one's “inner battery,” reflecting on the next program year, and basically rejuvenating the spirit. However, for the staff at Northampton Community College 's Business Training Resources, this is the busiest of times. The 2005-2006 WEDnetPA Guaranteed Free Training (GFT) program officially closed on June 30, 2006, with final invoicing continuing until July 31. Applications for the 2006-2007 GFT program were also being accepted, with July 15 as the application deadline. Oh, where did the summer go...

Northampton Community College Receives $1.2 Million Economic Development
Federal Grant
Northampton Community College (NCC) has been awarded a $1.2 million grant from the federal Economic Development Administration (EDA) to fund the establishment of a workforce development training center on the southside of Bethlehem. The investment is expected to create jobs and provide training for 1,650 area residents and to generate $30 million in private investment. The announcement of the award was made by Carlos M. Gutierrez, Secretary of Commerce for the United States.
