The 2006-2007 WEDnetPA GFT program's recommended funding level is at $18 million, which represents a 30 percent decrease across the Commonwealth. Despite the decrease, applications for almost $2 million were received by NCC for first round funding. Fifty four Basic Skills (BS) and 38 Information Technology (IT) applications were submitted for funding. 2006-2007 should prove to be another exciting year for the GFT program, providing qualified companies with money for training in a wide range of basic and high-tech topics.
