(Continued from Front Page) The black tie gala on Friday, May 12, is expected to draw hundreds of community leaders, long-time residents of the Lehigh Valley , and newcomers who are eager to get a glimpse of the renovations that are underway inside the old office building and to toast the renaissance that has begun around it.
The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. in the high-ceilinged lobby with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres prepared by NCC's culinary arts students and butlered by hotel and restaurant management students. A sit-down dinner will follow on the third floor. The menu, created by NCC Chef Duncan Howden, former executive chef of the Hamilton Plaza Hotel, who has directed the culinary arts program at NCC for many years, will showcase the talents of students enrolled in NCC's highly regarded culinary program.
After dinner, guests will dance to the tunes of Rio , a high energy band with a repertoire as diverse as the citizens who populate the Lehigh Valley .
