Voice over IP/Convergence Training
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is being implemented rapidly and requires that voice, data and video networks come together to speak the same language. TIA created the Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP) to ensure that companies have skilled employees who can build and maintain applications within the IP market. Many of the major telecommunications companies such as Toshiba, Cisco, NEC, Nortel, and Siemens are requiring CTP certification, in addition to basic product-specific training, for dealer technicians who wish to receive technical support on all future convergence technology products. The certification consists of three courses preparing students for the certification examination that can be administered on campus.
