Spring 2005 Public Course Schedule

New High Performance Manufacturing Workshop Series

The Center for Business & Industry’s new High Performance Manufacturing Series is designed to help business owners and executives meet the global competitive challenges that face their organizations. New International Building Code Courses

Northampton Community College is offering two new courses designed to explain the critical concepts of the 2003 International Builders Code (IBC).

Fundamentals of the International Building Code 2003 provides a basis for the correct use of the code in design, plan review, inspection and analysis of construction projects. Code enforcement and compliance also covered.

The course will meet Weds. evenings from 6-9:30PM, February 9-April 6; 3.0 CEUs.

Fundamentals of the International Residential Code 2003 provides a basis for construction code enforcement of the International Residential Code.

The course will meet Weds. evenings from 6-9:30PM, April 13-June 8; 3.0 CEUs.

Two New Industrial Safety & Health Courses for the Spring Semester

The Center for Business & Industry is offering two new industrial health and safety public courses for the spring semester. Water Distribution Systems is a DEP approved course designed to train operators in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of water distribution systems while providing an understanding of basic operational and maintenance concepts.

The course will meet Monday evenings from 6-9PM, February 21 to April 11.

New 30-Hr. General Industry OSHA Safety Training course provides a comprehensive review of OSHA policies, procedures and standards and general safety and health principles. Emphasis will also be placed on those areas that are most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Students successfully completing the course will receive a course completion card.

The course meets Thursday evenings from 6-9PM from February 17-April 28.
